Types of Governments
Oligarchy
Some advantages included, it reduces societal pressure, only people with prior knowledge and are experienced and have knowledge in ruling, it still allows anyone to join under their ruling, upon others.
Definition: a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution.

In an Oligarchy, a few people or families rule.

Some of the disadvantages include, it encourages income inequality, it can disrupt the economy by making people feel that they don’t have an opportunity, along with that, it can be restrictive. Those are just a few disadvantages, there are many others.
Democracy
Representative Democracy
Representative democracy, also known as indirect democracy, is a type of democracy where elected persons represent a group of people.
A prime example of a Representative Democracy is the very country we live in, The United States.
Direct Democracy
A form of democracy in which the electorate decides on policy initiatives without elected representatives as proxies.

An example of a Direct Democracy is Switzerland, Direct Democracies are a rare thing.
An advantage of Democracy is that it helps in uniting people and making their words heard. A disadvantage of Democracy is that it can create a divide in the people of a country due to different political views or affiliations.

Theocracy

Theocracy is a system of government in which priests rule in the name of god, also known as a clergy. They hold office by keeping true to their religion and prevailing their religion. Leaders get chosen based on the ones countries rules. Iran has elections when some others don't.
An advantage of a Theocracy is that it can help the less fortunate better support it is said that neighbors should share with neighbors. A disadvantage of Theocracy is that businesses can only support the same religion, leaving little diversity.
Anarchy

In Anarchy there is no one in charge, and there are no laws.
Because there are no laws, people can do whatever they want and there is no voting for the laws that do not exist.

Autocracy
Monarchy
A monarchy is ruled by the Monarch who will come into power
through heredity and will keep power until they pass or renounce their position.
A real world example of a monarchy is Great Britain. The countries have been ruled under monarchy for centuries and continue to do so to this day.

Dictatorship
A dictatorship is a government led by an unelected leader who normally resorts to force and fraud to get power. A dictator will keep power until they dies or get overthrown.
