Another factor that largely effeted the military strength of the Roundheads is money. I believe money was a large factor because it meant troops were paid more and better equipped. And therefore, lots of soldierswere more willing to fight and not revolt because they were receiving a fairer wage. The army achieved receiving more money, by controlling the Navy, who in turn, controlled the trade routes, resulting in more money. Consequently money helped the Parliamentarians win the war, because soldiers were more willing to fight.
