Elements :warning:
Understanding
Question when you learning
1- Does this make sense? What I just learn? What's key ideas? Do I need Memorizing?
2- Can you comfortably explain to a friend or 5YO? Can I Rephrase in my own words?
-
Scoping The Subject: Focus and understand big picture > Start broad, then narrow down > Focus on the tree, not the leaves
-
Finding a Syllabus: Focus on mastering key resources with a structured plan, accepting you can't learn everything.
Learning happens when it's hard, when passive learn nothing
the more difficult it is the more strongly is going to stick
Remembering
MINDSET SHIFT: A LITTLE BIT EVERY DAY AND BEING CONSISTENT - 10 min every day far better than 1 Hr weekend
Repeat testing yourself over a period of time → More Retrieve knowledge from your brain → Strengthen encoded connections.
Turn stuff into the Mnemonics e.g. قنزسانب and Make it yourself - Attention: Do not rely on Mnemonics for Understanding
Peg System - Mind Palace
Attention: Understand the content first
No point in memorizing without Understanding it!
Superbrain Quest Mindmap
How to memorize the Essays:
- Anki flashcards to learn content blocks and keywords
- Spider diagrams to learn entire essays using keywords
- Retrospective revision timetable to track spaced repetition & active recall
Methods :pencil2:
Active Recall
Questions: write many questions instead of reading passively and basically convert everything into the questions.
What I just learn/read? Key idea? Can I rephrase my own words?
for Review Answer the questions=> colour code based on Answers and next time only the question you're struggling with.

The way Brian works is how much you retrieve information from Brian rather than put it back => Stick to Brain
Testing yourself 2-3 times more instead of wasting time on rereading, highlighting, or summarizing. If your energy is low, do a bit of active recall.
The harder it feels to learn, the more we actually learn.
Cornell Note-Taking System: 1- build active recall questions
2- consolidate understanding 3- write Questions by Cornell NTS. Note is pointless by itself without questions.
Spaced Repetition
-
SR Spreadsheet: 1- make google sp sheet
2- make different sp sheet for each subject
3- make column list of topic
4- put date and colour based on weak and strong
5- continue until you know everything (EXAMPLE)
Tips: 1- start from what you don't know (hard one)
2- do Mindset shift: Do it, Record a bit, Move to the next topic
3- no limit: no revision time table, write your tomorrow plan night before
Interleaved practice is mixing different topics or skills in one session to improve learning and memory by keeping the brain active and adaptive.
Example: Study a bit of one topic, then another, then a third, and cycle back, instead of spending hours on each topic separately.
Google Sheet Flashcard for general understanding concepts
with questions in column A and answers in column B, hidden by coloring the text white, revealing answers after retrieval, with color-coding (green, yellow, red**)

Advs: 1. systematic structure 2. easier to spot holes 3. easier to work with friends 4. less of commitment
Focus
- Motivation is a Myth; It’s unnecessary to feel like doing something before taking action.
- Discipline drives action based on necessity, not emotions.
- Adults act on needs; children act on feelings.
- The way you feel about a task doesn’t impact whether it gets done.
- Use pleasure (e.g., coffee, music) or punishment (e.g., financial penalties) to reinforce discipline.
- When you really enjoy what you're doing, distractions fade away. e.g. watching movie
