EVERY CHILD HAS THE RIGHT TO LEARN: IS THAT A REALITY?
FACTS
1 in 5 children don't attend school
103 million young people have no basic literacy skills
More than 60% of them are women.
57 million children are still out of school
More than half live in Sub-Saharan Africa
MY OPINION
In my opinion, every child should have the right to learn, but unfortunately this is not a reality. Many children cannot go to school because of poverty, wars and other problems. I think education is very important because it gives children a better future. All children should have the same opportunities.
REASON
Poverty
: families don't have enough money.
Gender disparity
: girls have fewer opportunities than boys.
Lack of theachers
: there aren't enough teachers because salaries are low.
Geographical barries
: schools are far away, especially in rural areas.
Child labour
: children have to work to help their families.
Child marriage
: schools can be closed or unsafe
