TASK 3.1 - Coggle Diagram
TASK 3.1
STORAGE DEVICES
SSD: they are the fastest storage devices nowadays. It uses transistors acting as switches that can be opened or closed
HDD: they are traditional and they store information by positioning thousands of tiny magnets forming 0 and 1.
-
CLOUD MEMORY: it allows you to store information in remite servers so you can access trough internet.
COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
Hardware: they are the phisical parts of the computer (mouse, keyboard).
Software: they are the data and instructions inside of the computer (programms, apps)

-
Computers input, output, store and precess the information thanks to different devices that belong to the software and hardware.
MEMORY
RAM: computer's main memory, it's used when we open an application to copy data and information so that the microprocessor can use it.
-
-
BINARY SYSTEM
Computers only use 0 and 1, this is known as the binary system. The smallest unit of information is a bit, followed by the byte (8 bits)
ASCII
We give a code to each letter and to the characters that the computers use so we can store them. ASCII is meaning of American Standard Code of Information Interchange. It uses 7 bits to store 128 characters.
-
MICROPROCESSOR
It's an integrated circuit that process all the data sent. The clock rate sets how fast the information is processed, 4GHz recives 4 billion impulses per second. It depends on the cache memory.
