Neck Anatomy - Coggle Diagram
Neck Anatomy
Blood Vessels of the Neck
2.Anterior jugular vein
near the front of the neck(อยู่บริเวณด้านหน้าคอ)
Function
Receives venous blood from the front of the neck(รับเลือดดำจากด้านหน้าของลำคอ)
Is formed by superficial veins near the submandibular region(เกิดจากหลอดเลือดดำชั้นตื้นบริเวณใต้ขากรรไกร)
Connects with the opposite anterior jugular vein through a jugular venous arch(เชื่อมกับ anterior jugular vein อีกข้างด้วย jugular venous arch)
Drains toward the subclavian vein( ส่งเลือดไปยัง subclavian vein)
Anterior jugular = front of neck
3.Internal jugular vein
deeper, within the carotid sheath(อยู่ชั้นลึกภายใน carotid sheath)
Area
Descends deep in the neck(ทอดลงมาตามส่วนลึกของคอ)
Travels inside the carotid sheath(อยู่ภายใน carotid sheath)
Begins at the skull(เริ่มจากบริเวณฐานกะโหลก)
Lies lateral to the common carotid artery(อยู่ด้านข้างของ common carotid artery)
important pathway for venous blood returning from the brain and head(เป็นหลอดเลือดสำคัญในการนำเลือดดำจากสมองและศีรษะกลับสู่หัวใจ)
At the base of the neck:
Internal jugular vein + Subclavian vein → Brachiocephalic vein
The brachiocephalic veins eventually contribute to the superior vena cava, which carries blood back to the heart(จากนั้นเลือดจะไหลผ่านระบบหลอดเลือดดำเข้าสู่ superior vena cava ก่อนกลับไปยังหัวใจ)
1.External jugular vein
more superficial, on the side of the neck(อยู่ชั้นตื้นบริเวณด้านข้างคอ)
vein is formed by the union of Retromandibular vein (posterior division) + Posterior auricular vein. It runs superficially along the side of the neck.
Function
collects venous blood from:
Neck
Superficial muscles of the back
Face
Scalp
and drains into the subclavian vein
Common Carotid artery
a major artery supplying blood to the head and neck.
It travels upward inside the carotid sheath.
then at the upper border of thyroid cartilage, it divides into
1.Internal carotid artery
2.External carotid artery
The right and left common carotid arteries have different origins
Right common carotid artery: Comes from the brachiocephalic trunk(แยกจาก brachiocephalic trunk)
Left common carotid artery: Comes directly from the aortic arch(แยกจาก aortic arch โดยตรง)
structures Inside the Carotid Sheath
1.Common carotid artery =medially(อยู่ด้านใน)
External Carotid
Supplies structures outside the skull
Many branches in the neck
Posterior (2)
Occipital, posterior auricular
Medial (1)
Ascending pharyngeal
Anterior(3)
Superior thyroid, lingual, facial
Terminal (2)
Superficial temporal, maxillary
Supplies areas such as the face, scalp, and neck
Internal
No branches in the neck
blood supply to the brain
Enters the skull
Pulse Points

1.t the side of the neck, near the anterior border of SCM(ด้านข้างคอ ใกล้ขอบด้านหน้าของ SCM)
2.Near the lower border of the mandible, where the facial artery crosses it(บริเวณขอบล่างของขากรรไกรตรงที่ facial artery พาดผ่าน)
2.Internal jugular vein =aterally(อยู่ด้านนอก)
3.Vagus nerve =between the artery and vein, more posteriorly(อยู่ระหว่างหลอดเลือดแดงและดำ ค่อนไปทางด้านหลัง)
จำ: Artery = medial, Vein = lateral, Nerve = between.
The neck connects the head to the chest

Most of these muscles help lower or stabilize the hyoid bone and larynx during swallowing and speaking(ทำหน้าที่ดึงลงหรือช่วยพยุงกระดูก hyoid และกล่องเสียง ระหว่างการกลืนและพูด)
3.Suprahyoid muscles: Mainly pull the hyoid bone upward(ส่วนใหญ่ช่วยยกกระดูก hyoid ขึ้น)
