Presuppositions
-
Balanced: a person with a balanced view can consider both naturalistic and supernatural explanations
Empirical
Non repeatable events: events are singular supernatural events, meaning they’re impossibly improbable to predict or prove
Transformative effect: the miracles’ transformative effect can challenge limiting historical analysis to natural explanations
Bias in sources
Bias in the different gospels (different aims and sources)
means that they all have a different aim and objective to reach, meaning they all have different stories to give. Leaving us with no accurate story of what happened
Circular logic
-
Exclusion of supernatural;
the exclusion of supernatural as a presupposition is an equally circular logic
