WATER, REFERENCES - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Class Activity: What happens if a plant does not get water? Learners predict, then investigate by giving one plant water and the other no water for three days. The observe daily and draw the changes.
  - - - Class Activity: Which water would you drink? learners observe three bottles of water - one has rain water, one has boiled tap water and the other has muddy water. The learners use their senses - Sight and smell - to decide and describe which water is safe.
- - - - Class Activity: Which tool can carry the most water? Learners will do an activity where they test and measure. They will pour water into a basin using different water carrying tools (cup, bucket, bottle). They will compare which tool carries more water and spills less.
  - - - Class Activity: Can we catch and use rain water? The learners will make a small and simple rain catcher using a 5 liter water bottle that is cut open at the top and placed under the roof. They will leave their bottles outside and observe when it rains. They will discuss what they can use the rain water for.
- - - - Class Activity: Where can we find water in our school? Learners go on a water hunt around the school with their teacher. They then make a map of where they see water sources on the school grounds. In class they discuss who brings water to the taps (Harlan & Rivnik, 2012).
  - - - Class Activity: How can we save water? The learners will sort picture card into two different categories - saves water & wastes water. They will their picture table to create their own class rules for saving water.
