Straumen
The straumen are the fruit of the strautree created by the enamoured. They have no need to feed, or even mouths (unless they add them manually). The strautree is far to the west. Even though straument drop farely frequently, fogwalkers tend to camp it and maul them before they can do much.

Lore
Premise
Some 150 years ago the sun stood in the sky for seven whole days. At the same time, fog rolled in and monsters came from it and this was called the seven days of fog and where the first bout of destruction and war against the fog came. After 7 days, the sun set for the last time and never rose again, beginning the long sleep. The world is now dominated by the night sky, and the far western coast is the last vestige of humanity, with 5 major settlements and approximately 2000 people left.
The sun was the husband of the moon. And mythologically their coupling birthed the world as their child. Basically, the pale lady is a single mother trying to save her dying child after the death of her husband.

What happened to the sun?

Places
Ildrim
Either the name of the world, or the name of the place where everyone lives. Either way, nobody lives anywhere else to name it.
The Crystaline Coast
Most of the people in the world live here. The moon is strongest here because the water reflects the moonlight and drives away the fog until the mountains.
Bren
The settlement that was on Bren collapsed approx 20 years ago after it was overwhelmed one night. it held approximately 700 people, 611 were taken by the fog, 47 did not survive the voyage to Daer
Bren also refers to the island of Bren, which is ruled over by the fogspirit, Bren, who named themselves after the island.
