Natural Science helps learners investigate raw materials and changes in their properties. Technology helps learners investigate, design, make and evaluate products. Social Science helps learners understand the people, occupations and community needs connected to producing and using those products. Together, the three disciplines help learners understand how natural resources are transformed into useful goods. (DBE, 2011; Naudé & Meier, 2025).
