- - - - According to Naudé and Meier 2025 Natural Science is the "scientific process that involves skills such as making observations, asking questions, making predictions and comparing" therefore to we will explore the textures, comparing differences between the colours and taste. Oranges have a juicy flavour that can be sweet and sour, it has a vibrant colour on the outside with an inside that is white, oranges provide a refreshing taste (Fontanie,2024).
    - - The teacher will group learners in 4s where they will each receive an orange. The teacher will ask learners to pick the orange up and start feeling the textures and tell her if its smooth or rough. After this the teacher will go around the class handing out paper plates and cut the oranges for the learners, the learners will taste each part of the orange including a small piece of the peel/skin and compare the different taste such as sweet or sour or bitter.

    - - Learners will compare the geometric shape between an orange and a naarjie, the learners will compare their sizes, taste and will evaluate if the colours are the same
- - - - According to Naudé and Meier 2025 "technology involves the use of problem solving, technological processes and resources to find solutions to peoples wants and needs." learners learn the simple processing skills which include the peeling and juicing (Tetra Pak, n.d.).
    - - The learners will be group in A and B, group A will use a plastic hand juicer, and group B will use spoons- this will test/ evaluate which resource juices the most out of a half orange
- - - - Social Science is about the exploration, application and knowledge and skill development (Naudé and Meier, 2025). Oranges have originated in the Southeast of Asia, such as in the Southeast India, Southwestern China, Bruma and the Malay Archipelago.
    - - The teacher and the learners will create a picture puzzle map of where the oranges were located
