Digital media
- You should never share any person information to anyone that may ask you unless its a personal guardian or someone you can trust as sharing passwords to people you don't know will allow them to access personal information that is only meant to be private to you and then they can use that information against you to for example blackmail you or force you do do something.
- Make sure not to involve yourself with people that you don't know on apps make sure to only talk to people that you know and trust as people you don't know might ask for private information or even try to learn personal stuff about you which is a no no and isn't safe.
- Always stay on safe websites and don't go on any illegal websites like the dark web and stay on safe search engines you can trust like google since it can easily get your computer or your device a virus and you can even get in trouble with the law and the police if they find out your on any illegal websites.
- Don't fall for any scams that people put up like getting something for free by putting in your bank details as these websites are just trying to find out your personal information and lying to you by saying you'll get something for free so do not fall for anything along those lines.
- Do not try to abuse the use of ai and make sure to be extremely careful with it as ai platforms like tyro seem to be useful at first but it can allow ai generated photos which means you can generate photos of people doing something without their consent which is illegal
- Beware of fake profiles/catfishes as people can set up fake accounts lying about who they are which can make you believe it can be someone you trust which could make you an easy target for falling for any scams
- To check if a website is legit. By looking where its from eg if the company is from ireland or your home country then it would definitely show that it is legit or most likely real you can tell if it has .ie or .uk that would show its real (also look out for a padlock as that means its a safe website)
- There isn't parental controls on my device my trusted parental guardians have willingly agreed to put trust within me to have control over my phone
- i do not agree to have parental controls on my device as i feel i am capable of limiting my screen time on my device without any manual controls to do it
- i do not agree with the new u15 social media ban as i feel that alot of people under 15 are capable of managing their screentime but i would definitely still understand a ban for u13 or below
- Coco’s Law, officially known as the Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act 2020 , is Irish legislation that criminalizes serious online and offline abuse, including the non-consensual sharing of intimate images and threatening or grossly offensive communications
- "Coco" was the nickname of Nicole Fox, a vibrant 21-year-old woman from Clondalkin, Dublin
- I have 11 accounts and their on my gmail roblox tiktok snapchat spotify youtube netflix xbox epic games whatsapp and microsoft
- I have bought countless of items online to a point where i could not give you an exact number a guess would be like around 100-200 from virtual items to items online that get shipped out to me
- Usually I would safely remove my details after a transaction but there can be an exception like for example if i buy something constantly from them same website then i wouldn't probably remove the details after the transaction so i would save me time
- I usually would use social media more as I feel like its more of a necessity than online games because you might need to read messages from people and respond to them so i personally think it's just more important
- I'd probably say that social media is also more dangerous as you can easily get scammed in online games if your clueless but i feel that its definitely easier to fall into a scam or get into a bad situation on social media rather than online games
