For this assignment, I created a 4th grade ELA lesson focused on identifying the main idea and supporting details in an informational text. I used a digital mind mapping tool to organize the lesson objective, introduction, direct instruction, guided practice, independent practice, assessment, and differentiation. This mind map helped me see how each part of the lesson connects to the learning objective and how I can support different types of learners. I can use this type of planning in my future classroom to create organized and effective ELA lessons.
