Univariate Analysis:
analysis of a single variable a set of statistical techniques that can describe the general properties of one variable
frequency distribution:
summary of the frequency—or percentages—of individual values or ranges of values for that variable

dispersion:
the way values are spread around the central tendency;
ex: how tightly or how widely the values are clustered around the mean

corrects for outliers by using a formula that takes into account how close or how far each value is from the distribution mean
