Family struggles
The parents were struggling to pay the bills and rent so thats why Conor had to switch to cut costs and save money for the families sake,of course Conor wasnt happy but he had no choice
Conors parents as Brendan exclaimed''only got married for sex'',so there was constant arguing through the house between Conors parents which led to the divorce
Raphinas family isnt in a good situation either,her dad is dead and her mam is mental(i think)so she is in a girls home because obviously no one can take care of her
Forming sing street
Darren knew a few people for the band(Ngig,Eamon e.t.c.)
Then 2 other people seen the flyer for the band and decided to join it because they were exactly what the band was looking for

Conflict
There is family conflict aswell,with Conors parent splitting up,which leaves Conor and Brendan very emotional
Near the end of the move we see that Raphina has a bruise on her cheek,she says its from her boyfriend and she desererved it
At the start of the movie we seen that Conor gets called into the bathroom by Barry,asking if he wants a smoke,then all the sudden he whips out a slingshot and makes Conor dance,Conor does it then Barry asks him to do it with his pants down,Conor denies him and Barry leaves
Ending
As they were leaving on the little boat,the waves were all over the place,and it was lashing down with rain,showing that we will never know if they made it to
London
Conor and Raphina leave to London to follow their dream of Raphina being a model and Conor going solo,or as mentioned in the movie he is going to get a record deal and get the rest of the band members ''out of that shithole''
At the end of the movie,the song ''Go Now'' plays,some of the lyrics of the song relate to the movie,like ''We've already said ‘Goodbye’.

New School
Since he was the new student and it was back then,he got slagged,picked on and laughed at for anything,no one cared how he feeled.
At the start of the movie,Conor didnt know about the black shoes rule,so
Conor has a little bit of conflict with Brother Baxter over it and Conor is made walk around with no shoes on
He ended making a friend(Darren) which led to lots and lots more friends because he needed to start a band so he met and made about 7 friends through Darren.Darren didnt treat him like an outsider either
Music and Romance
Before Conor knew Raphina properly,he made a song called ''Riddle of the model'' which is about the quote from Conor''People can be anyone you want them to be but when you know them it limits that''
There were a lot of romantic scenes between Conor and Raphina,they were very awkward and corny i have to say but there were alot anyway
School Dance
For the rehearsal,Conor let his mind run free,he imagined it was an american school prom with Brother Baxter doing hand back springs,
Brendan coming in on a motorbike and everyone dancing.
The real dance was dim,everyone was dressed differently to Conors imagination and it looked nothing like he wanted it to,but never the less he sang his heart out and had a great first gig
Meeting Raphina
At first sight he was mesmerised by her(by her looks,style and other things as such).He was captivated by her so he decided to go over to her.
Raphina is the reason the whole movie started.At first when Conor went up to her,he said he was in a band,she made him sing and he did,of course he didnt actually have a band so he had to form one
