Beliefs
Sunnis - 6 articles of faith
Risalah / Nubuwwah (Prophets) - The belief that God chose prophets—such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus—to deliver His guidance to humanity, with Muhammad as the final "Seal of the Prophets"
Kutub (Holy Books) - The belief in the scriptures revealed by Allah, including the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel, with the Qur'an viewed as the final and unchanged word of God.
Akhirah (The Day of Judgement and Afterlife) - The belief that life is a test and people will be resurrected, judged by God according to their actions, and sent to Paradise or Hell.
Malaikah (angles) - The belief in pure spiritual beings created from light who carry out God's commands and watch over humans.
Al-Qadr (Predestination / Divine Decree) - The belief that everything happens according to God's ultimate plan and knowledge, while still allowing for human accountability and free will.
Tawhid - The belief that God is one, unique, absolute, and has no partners or equals.

Practices
Sunnis - 5 pillars of Islam
Shahada - The declaration of faith stating, "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of God"
Salah (Prayer): The ritual prayer performed facing Mecca five times each day.
Zakat (Almsgiving): The obligatory giving of a portion of one's wealth (traditionally 2.5% of surplus savings) to help the poor and needy.
Sawm (Fasting): Abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn to sunset during the holy month of Ramadan.
Hajj (Pilgrimage): The sacred journey to the holy city of Mecca that every able-bodied Muslim must make at least once in a lifetime if they have the means.
Shias - 10 obligatory acts
