Laboratory reagent water
Laboratory reagent water is water that is suitable for use in a specified procedure and does not interfere with the specificity, accuracy, and precision of an assay procedure.
Levels of water Purity : Type 1 Reagent water is the most pure and cannot be stored. Type 2 reagent water, and type 3 reagent water can be used for washing and rinsing laboratory glassware. Type 2 and 3 can be stored in polyethylene bottles. Any glassware should be given a final rinse either type 1 or type 2 water, depending on the intended use for the glassware.
Quality control and impurity testing includes testing of microbial monitoring. resistivity, pH, Pyrogens, silica, and organic contaminants
Purification of water process. Two general methods are deionization and distillation. Another is reverse osmosis.
