What makes it a case?
I study a real situation in depth. A case might be a person, a group, a program, or an organization.
Context matters. I want to know what was happening around the people involved, not just what the final result was.

I use more than one source of evidence. Different sources can fill gaps or challenge what I thought I understood.
A case study does more than tell a story. I need a research question, a clear method, and evidence that supports my explanation.
