      - Personal Story 2: During the summer, I worked in a logistical position and I found that even today, a lot of larger companies still run on things I take a little for granted, such as E-Mail. A wonderful invention made way before I walked this earth and I think about being used as the backbone of corporate communication.

        Kumar, Kumar & Persuad really does capitalize on what I used to think technology as being. A purely physical advancement/tool for the betterment of society.
  - - - Personal Story: After I got into a car crash, I remember the hospital trip with the staff giving me a bunch of X-rays. I remember being amazed how shooting radiation at me was enough to take a photograph and transform a bunch of particles in a light box into digital data I could see. Made me think about how many advancements were made in the modern era for medicine.

        “Technology may be defined as the application of organized knowledge to practical tasks by ordered systems of people and machines.”
        
        Technology being built on "previous thoughts" and expanded through the application of these thoughts.
        
        "Knowledge is closely related to technology since the pure disposal of technology is not sufficient for successful implementation."
        
        A little hard to see, but even how we interact with knowledge and education today. This course alone is online, being accessed online purely.

        To expand on this idea. I want to delve further into Kevin's ideas here.
        
        "It's a force, that is the most powerful force that has been unleashed on this planet."
        
        Expanding on this and tying it to my own personal definition. I think Kelly brings a great insight into Technology beyond just simple invention. Technology, much like my old definition was, was a force. A constant force that is intertwining with our own definition of our humanity and society.
        
        "'What are the general trends in evolutionary life?' And they are moving towards greater complexity, greater diversity, greater specialization, sentience, ubiquity, and most importantly, evolvability. Those very same things are also present in technology."
        
        Kelly's work and belief on the intertwining of biological and technological evolution is beautifully put. All aspects of how we evolve as people coincides with technology, with our own ideas, thoughts, and humanity being put to use and mirrored by technology, and to a degree, to the test, on how to make technology work for us. In actuality, it might just be technology works alongside us.
        
        Thinking back, images of fire and the invention of the wheel enter my mind as pieces of technology that we take for granted, even though its nearly a basis for our advancement as a species.

- - - - Efficiency being a driving factor. Every aspect of the human life can be made more efficient and continually advanced.

        Even with today, a lot of the technology we use today is in forms of entertainment, efficiency, and connection, branching into things such as social media software. The efficiency in being in contact with each other keeps evolving from phone calls, e-mails, all the way to texts, letting us be connected at all times.

        "Think about what the technology is doing. It is a tool. It helps us. It brings us closer together."
        
        Millard brings a great perspective into why we need new technology. We, now being intertwined with technology, have an emotional connection to it as it lets us communicate in ways we never once thought of, bringing us closer together. Technology will and must be innovated due to it being such an integral part of us connecting to one another.

        Another big part, as mentioned by Liu-Ha, is how Tech affects the markets and the industry behind it.
        
        "Knowledge is increasingly being recognised as a vital organisational resource that gives market leverage and competitive advantage"

        Technology & Knowledge about technology is becoming a larger and more important resource in nearly all sectors in life. Nearly everything now correlates and ties to technology, meaning companies and markets that are less inclined to technological innovation & lack technological knowledge get left behind.
        
        This ties into today's moral dilemma about the advancement of AI. Some people being against it morally, some people adopting it. Regardless, it's a technological innovation that requires knowledge to implement, with it causing modern-day anxiety and uncertainty about the future.
