How individuals monitor, regulate and evaluate their own memory, comprehension, and other intellectual activities.

your beliefs and stored information about how cognitive process and learning works

what you believe are your strengths and style about learning

how you compare to others in understanding of the learning styles, strengths etc

things that apply to everyone
eg knowing there are various types of understanding
understanding can have different levels and forms eg paying attention, remembering, problem solving etc
understanding requires attention but it may not always be enough
there are 2 ways to fail at understanding
be completely confused
understand incorrectly
it's difficult to judge how well you know something
understanding does not ensure recall later

eg understanding that limited, small information isnt enough to judge someone.
