Ravi showed his ability to persevere through the hardships of moving through life of a young child moving internationally, specifically, from Bangalore, India to Hamilton, New Jersey. Though, there is a small section of the book where we see Ravi be extremely deterred to continue due to the bullying, he ultimately continues. I think that this both shows his ability to take charge of a situation bur also his ability to see things from other people's point of view.
