Frequency
How often the event occurs- high frequency if it
happens a lot low frequency if it happens less
Perception
How different people see things- different people might veiw problems at different problem levels
Building design
How buildings are designed to cope with real world problems eg. stronger foundations for buildings in places with frequent earthquakes
Government
The government have the most power over the country- sending out warning alerts and international aid
Emergency services
These are set up by the government to give aid to people after disasters
Warning time
If there are ways to tell if a disaster is coming, the government can send out alerts to forewarn people.
Size of area
The larger the area the more aid needed so harder strain on emergency services and national wealth
Magnitude
The strength, size or total energy release by a disaster
Poverty
Poverty is people who don't have enough food and water to survive, this is linked to emergency services as they can provide this
National Wealth
National wealth is the amount of money a country or area has, this is linked to goventment, emergency services and size of area
Education
Education is the amount of people in schools that are learning, this is linked to government and national wealth
