When customers use Standard Bank services—such as the mobile app, ATM or branch—security cameras and identity-verification systems would create a secure record of access, subject to privacy and legal requirements.
-
-
BankShield could strengthen customer trust by providing additional layers of security and a structured way to investigate suspected unauthorised transactions. At the same time, the system could support skills development and employment opportunities for young people in areas such as CCTV monitoring, fraud prevention, cybersecurity and financial technology.
Target young adults, students, working professionals, and existing or potential Standard Bank customers who use digital platforms.
