Ask 93 HWDSB schools to conduct a two part survey.
Part 1: Students: List down what they ate in a week during school hours and classify each item whether it was bought from school cafeteria/brought from home/or traded with peers.
Part 2: Parents/caregivers: Display the school's weekly menus to the parents and ask the quanity of foods their kids could eat. Parents must adhere to the student's cultural and medical condition while browsing through the menu. Then, they would be handed the list created by their own children in Part 1 of the study. Adhering to the list, on the scale of 1-10, parents will be asked to rate the healthiness, quantity, and parental satisfaction of what their child eats in school.
The assumption is that parents have a basic understanding of nutrition and are aware of conditions which influence the food choice of a child (religion, medical)
