Variability: A quantitative measure that shows how different the scores are and whether they are spread out or close together.

Interquartile range: the difference between the score at the 75th percentile and the score at the 25th percentile. It shows how spread out the middle 50% of the scores are.
Quartiles: Values that divide a set of scores into four equal parts, with each part containing about 25% of the data.

Standard deviation: a measure of how spread out the scores are from the mean. It shows how much the scores typically differ from the average.
Variance: a measure of how spread out the scores are by looking at how far each score is from the mean and squaring those differences.
Population Variance: the average of the squared differences between each score and the mean.
Formula: σ² = SS ÷ N
Population Standard Deviation: the square root of the population variance. It measures how spread out the scores are from the mean.
