Stalin repeatedly urged Allied powers to open up a second front in France to relieve its SRA of the immense pressure it was facing from Gr's continuous attacks

Stalin saw this as a deliberate ploy to get USSR and Germany to weaken and destroy e/o as well as for the Allies to minimize their losses --> Increased mistrust, suspicion, tensions and worsened relations
Containment Policy
Truman Doctrine
Provide economic, financial and military support to countries struggling politically.
Protect country's freedom and democracy. Any country unaided and left to fend for themselves may resort to communism
