Who do you say I am? (Matt 16) #3
His faith?
Ditto the above
Faith strong - but sometimes based on wrong understanding
I favour his confession/testimony
What he said made him the rock
Similarly to when he said 'No Lord'
Not him who was Satan - his words
What he said made him the rock - the words from his lips
Paul said to the Romans "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".
Not just saved - you will be a Rock
And every time you confess you will become rockier
Your words will build the church
What we say is important
What we do also
Do our lives reflect our words?
If yes our words are magnified
If no, rightly recognised as hypocrites
Not Rocky - sandy

This authority to bind and loose is also extended to the rest of the disciples/church
Gates of hell
Evil cannot destroy God's purpose
Finally - you're right, but don't tell anyone
Not the right time/ medium
Is he is/isn't will continue
'you have said so'

We're not called to spoon feed, just tell our story
Tell each other - tell those who ask (while having coffee)
SU breathing in and out
How can people have faith in the Lord if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear, unless someone tells them?
Go forth and tell
