WH-Questions
Ask for specific information

Time or date

Example: Why are you happy?

Method or way
Example: How do you cook pasta?

Person
Example: Who is your teacher?

Person as an object
Example: Whom did you invite?
Yes/No Questions
Answered with yes or no.
Usually start with an auxiliary verb or “to be.”
Example: Are you coming with us?
Open-Ended Questions
Example: Describe your ideal job.
Often begin with “tell me about” or “describe.”
Ask for detailed and personal answers.
Tag Questions
A statement followed by a short question.
Used to confirm information or agreement.
Example: You like chocolate, don't you?
Choice Questions
Give two or more options.
The person chooses one.
Often use “which” or “would you rather.”
Example: Which color do you prefer?
