What: This questions word is used to ask about a thing or an action

When: This question word is used to ask about a time or date. For example: When is your birhtday? or When did you start working here?

Who/Whom: These question words are used to ask about a person or people.
"Who" is used as the subject of a sentence or clause. For example: Who is responsible for this mess? or Who is going to the party tonight?
"Whom" is used as the object of a verf or preposition For example: To whom should I adress this letter? or Whom should I ask for help with this problem?
