Graphs and tables
Axes: Put the independent variable (what you change) on the horizontal x-axis and the dependent variable (what you measure) on the vertical y-axis.
Labels: Name each axis with the quantity and its unit, such as "Temperature, °C". Add an overall title.
Interpreting Trends: Look at the overall shape, direction (increasing, decreasing, or flat), and any unusual data points or outliers.
Tables
Headings: Use short, clear horizontal column headings to describe each category or variable.
Units: Place the unit of measurement centered and in parentheses directly below or beside the column heading
Variables: independent, dependent, control.
Fair tests.
three varibles
-
Dependent variable: The factor that you measure or observe. It changes in response to the independent variable.
Control variables: All the other factors that you keep constant (the same) so they do not affect the outcome
fair tests
A fair test is a scientific experiment where you change only one factor to see its effect, while keeping all other conditions exactly the same
