meaning: impaired nerve signaling or muscle control
causes: spinal cord injury and diabetes-related nerve damage
disease: urinary incontinence
loss of bladder control
treatments: pelvic floor exercises. strengthen bladder support and medications. regulate bladder contractions
Altered Patency
meaning: blocked urine flow
causes: kidney stones, enlarged prostate
disease: urinary obstruction
prevents normal urine passage
treatments: increased fluids/medications>assist stone passage and surgery> removes obstruction
Altered Perfusion
meaning: reduced blood flow to kidneys
causes: dehydration and low blood pressure/shock
disease: AKI
