> the language of touch that can be used to communicate positive feelings (kisses, hugs...) or negative feelings (punches, pushes...)
OLFACTORY CHANNEL
> good smells produce positive sensations, while bad smells produce negative sensations (ex: the first thing you do to impress someone is to wash yourself)
FLAVOR/TASTE CHANNEL
> sweet flavors vs sour flavors (we are offered sweets > they are not conventional but easier to process compared to other food, as a result they produce positive emotions)

STATIC DIMENSION
personal level
: the way we arrange, dress and style ourselves > not necessary elements but is the way we convey/express the idea of ourselves
impersonal level
: the way we decide to arrange the spaces around us (decor it or keep it clean)
DYNAMIC DIMENSION
> movements we make when we communicate, for example hand gestures, or simply our posture can communicate a lot (we are not always aware of it)
PROSSEMICS
> postures, distance when interacting with someone...
KINESICS
> body language > intentional (nodding for agreement) vs non-intentional (rubbing eyes for tiredness)
AUDITORY CHANNEL
NON-VOCAL COMMUNICATION
> realized through body noises > clapping, snapping fingers to call for someone's attention...
VOCAL COMMUNICATION
linguistic, verbal and segmental
> combining different segments to say something (morphodyntax)
linguistic non-segmental
(pitch, stress, rhythm) > the emphasis we give to words (it's a culture bound)
paralinguistic
(volume, pace, speed) > not necessarily controlled
