QAS may refer a patient to a community health service if that is more appropriate than transporting to hospital. I.e. Cardwell Community Health Centre for Diabetes management
QAS may transport a patient that has presented to the GP but requires emergency care or a specialist. These are coded as Medically Authorised Transport
QAS may do an interfacility transfer (IFT) for numerous reasons, including loadsharing, facility resources or specialist availability
QAS may transport a patient from their private Psychologist if the clinician determines the patient meets EEA criteria or requires hospital admission
QAS may respond to a patient who does require treatment however it can be facilitated at the Urgent Care Clinic so they will transport there instead of hospital. I.e. a minor fracture

QAS may transport a patient to and from their Oncology or Radiation treatment if they have no other means of transport. This is often facilitated by PTS
GPs may also facilitate a care plan through an Allied Health professional using the Medicare subsidies
