The significance of Grandparents Day
It is a day to celebrate the connection between generations and show appreciate appreciation for our grandparents
It is also a day to bring attention to those who might have been forgotten and honour all grandparents
My class took time to visit at Old folks’ home grandparents Day
It gave everyone of us an opportunity to show the elderly care and concern
We chatted with them at the mini song-and-dance segment to bring them happiness while being away from their family
Grandparents played an important role in our families
They help to nurture and impact life values to us
Important to commemorate and spend quality time to honour and show appreciation for them
Events with intergenerational activities is extremely meaningful
It allows Grandchildren, like myself to spend quality time with my grandparents
Community centre in my neighbourhood, often organise events aimed at the bringing old and young altogether
Hardly to get to spend time with my grandparents due to my busy school schedule
Memorable to bond with my grandparents over activities they used to enjoy
Ways to show filial piety
means sparing a thought for elders and always putting their needs before my own
Doing a thank you card cooking a special meal or bring them to a special place of interest to spend quality time with them
My grandmother picks me up from school every day without fail, and always prepare meals for me
At home, she teaches how to do household chores
Never expect anything in return
I often accompany her to the market on weekends and buy her favourite food using pocket money I have saved up
Always help with the household whenever I can and I am my full to speak to elders in a polite manner.
