      - A transport network contains nodes that are linked by routes
      - Each node represents a location that provides entry to a transport network
      - Route represents the path for travel between nodes
      - The more nodes and routes there are in an area, the denser the transport network density
      - Most cities have dense transport networks, making it easier for people to reach locations and engage in different activities
    - - The reliability and performance of a transport system are dependent on the quality of its infrastrucuture
      - Transport infrastructure is key to moving people and goods
      - This includes roads, railways, walkways, bridges, bicycle lanes, signage and information systems that show real time transport information, ticketing systems to pay for trips etc
      - The quality of transport systems can be measured by indicators such as coverage, capacity, frequency, convenience and environmental sustainability
      - Cities such as Singapore, HongKong, and Seoul have heavily invested to develop high quality public transport infrastructure
    - - The way people and goods are moved depends on the variety of transport nodes offered in cities
      - Cities generally offer a wide variety of transport modes that travel on or through land, water and air
      - Motorised modes such as public transport may move along a fixed route and stop at specific nodes according to a timed schedule
      - Increasingly, cities are encouraging non motorised transport modes such as walking, cycling which are more environmentally friendly and promote health benefits
      - Shared mobility through bike sharing and car sharing is also on the rise
