Primary Research Both historical and theological disciplines heavily depend on rigorous primary research, supplemented by critical secondary commentaries. Relying on primary sources is essential to preserve the integrity of the ideas that originated from various thinkers, allowing me to truly comprehend the authentic perspectives of theologians, politicians, and historical actors. Furthermore, it provides direct, unedited access to the interior lives feelings, and thoughts of individuals from diverse eras, fostering a deep sense of historical empathy. This, in turn, connects me not just to the text, but to the culture that produced it. Through these courses, I intend to master the rigour required to navigate primary writings effectively, cultivating the research skills necessary to produce sophisticated, evidence-based scholarship during my undergraduate career.
