      - Coming Up (Hiwa-i-te-rangi/The Future): Changing to light, bouncy, lifting energy. Reaching right up high, testing balance, stretching, and leaping to show the stars breaking through the dark and lifting up their future wishes.

        Whānaungatanga: Spending time with classmates, building and strenghting their connections
        
        Manaakitanga: Showing kindness to their classmates and respecting others' ideas and performances.
        
        Wānagna: Sharing stories and relating to one another, learning the stories of Matariki and its importance to Maori and New Zealand History.

Each state of time could potentially be represented with a different element of music, time signature, energy to represent the past, present and future.

        This connects to the past as it honours traditional songs, the present by bringing communities together as a celebration, and supports the future by using it as a tool to pass the culture and traditions to the future generations.

Similar to the present and future, they can display this theme through a performance of telling the story of Matariki, looking into the past, the present, and the future.
