-the law is a false ideology bringing in laws that appear to respect the working classes so they don't overthrow capitalism- brainwashes you
-if the ideological state apparatus of the law is not successful, capitalist governments/the police will use a repressive state apparatus which is when those in control use violence and force to keep social order so all attempts to overthrow capitalism are stopped
