Kirklees budget is approved with funding allocated for regeneration policies including Regeneration of Major Town Centres - Feasibility (costing £500,000) and Regeneration of Strategic Town Centres - Huddersfield (just under £30m).
Kirklees Council confirm they are developing a masterplan to help keep businesses in the city centre.
The Huddersfield Town Centre Desgin Framework is approved by the cabinet with the first mention of the need to devleop a masterplan for Huddersfield.
Huddersfield Town Centre Design Framework is produced for people interested in Huddersfield town centre development.
Kirklees Budget is produced with reference to the Huddersfield Town Centre Action Plan with just over £10.6million in the Capital Investment Plan. £1.5m is also allocated to Huddersfield Town Centre as part of the capital investment plan.

The cabinet approves the 2015 budget which includes provisions for the Huddersfield Town Centre Action Plan, but does not mention the regeneration of Huddersfield seperate from this. AD Strategic consultants mentioned.
The cabinet recomends the approval of the Capital Investment plan as part of the budget, which dedicates £1.5m to regeneration in Huddersfield.
