- - - - WWI was caused by Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism, plus the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which triggered the war.
        
        Peace After World War 1
        
        The peace after World War I was made in 1919. The countries met in Paris and made the Treaty of Versailles. They said Germany caused the war, so Germany had to give up land, pay money, and keep a small army. They also created the League of Nations to help stop future wars. This was their way of trying to make the world peaceful again.
