Steps to FMEA
Nummer 1 : Identification of Risk
Define your process or system that is to be analyzed
Flow diagrams for PFMEA
System block diagrams for DFMEA
Identify potential failure modes for the product or process
Nummer 2: ANALyze the risks
Determine the potential effects ON THE SYTEM OR CUSTOMER
Given the above effect, define the SEVERITY of it on the entire project
Estimate the likelyhood of this severity (OCCURANCE)
Determine the CONTROLS around the failure or root cause
Calculate the RPN
RPN will help you how modest you can be with your controls, higher RPN directly correlates to relaxation on resource allocation
Nummer 3: Evaluation & Control
Take corrective actions using the COTROLS defined earlier
Accept risks
