Integration of SIX Principles and Process Standard.
Six Principles
Equity Principle
The lesson makes sure everyone has a fair chance to learn by using mixed-ability groups, offering different levels of support, and using hands-on materials. Every student is encouraged to take part actively, no matter their learning ability.
Curriculum Principle
This lesson fits in with what Class V students are expected to learn in math about measurement and geometry.
Teaching Principle
The teacher uses teaching methods that put students first, encourage them to ask questions, and involve them in group activities to keep them actively learning.
Learning Principle
Students build their understanding by exploring things, talking about them, observing, and doing practical activities.
Assessment Principle
We constantly use informal ways to check learning throughout the lesson, like asking questions, observing students, getting feedback from peers, and giving advice.
Technology Principle
We use technology, like multimedia presentations, digital images, and videos, to help students see and understand things better.
Five Process Standard
1) Problem Solving
Students solve a real-life math problem related to designing a garden
2) Reasoning and Proof
Students explain why they used specific formulas and justify their answers.
3) Communication
Students talk about ideas within their groups and present their solutions to the whole class
4) Connections
Students link math to real-life situations, like gardening and building fences.
5) Representation
Students show their ideas using drawings, measurements, symbols, and formulas.
