Psychological
Autonomy: I would encourage autonomy by giving the child
the opportunity to decide how they would approach doing a task independently before providing the child assistance and help.
I would help promote the child's autonomy by offering two healthy snacks during break time offering them to make a choice by them selves.
i supported a child's autonomy by allowing them to choose what activity they would want to complete during the first lesson.
Competence
I made activities that i know matched the child's development
so that they could experience success and confidence with their abilities
I focused on recognising the child's effort rather than soley focusing on the outcome of it and hep the child develop a positive attituide towards learning
i created a supportive environment where if mistakes happened they were viewed as a part of learning and not anything bad, helping the child feel confident to attempt new challenges.

I greeted the child warmly by sayin their name each morning for a way for them to feel recognised and welcomed within the school setting
supporting positive interactions between the children by modelling how kindness works between one another, sharing and respectful manners.
ensure all children were included in activities regardless of their backgrounds, needs, abilities fostering an environment of sense of belonging.

I encouraged the chid to take it in turns during group activities
helping them to develop respect for others and cooperation
I modelled how positive communication skills should be for example listening carefully and speaking kindly, this helps support a childs social development.

i supported the child in developing and understanding different coping mechanisms, such as deep breathes or going to a quiet area for time out when they have that feeling of being overwhelmed
i created a nurturing environment where children feel secure enough to express themselves freely with no judgement.
