Natural Science
CONCEPT-The night sky is what we see when the sun sets. Clear nights we see celestial bodies called, stars, moon and planet. celestial bodies give natural light to the sky(Kiddle,2026)
ACTIVITY- Learners will create a night sky. ill provide black paper,glitter glue for stars and pictures of different moon shapes that they can cut out and add to their night sky

Concept: Animals that come out at night -Animals that come out at night are called nocturnal animals. This means that they sleep during the day and are awake during the night. Examples of nocturnals: Bats,Frogs,owls and leopards(FaunaFacts,2026:3)
Activity: Nocturnal Hunt in classroom- 5 different pictures of Nocturnals will be placed on blackboard so that learners can identify Nocturnals when doing hunt. Place different cut outs of Nocturnals in different places in the classroom during break. when learners enter classroom tell them they will have a nocturnal hunt happening in classroom. close the blinds or curtains and turn off light and put on flashlight to start the "hunt". when all the Nocturnals are found recap lesson on Nocturnals.
Technology:
Subtopic 1- Planets
Activity: Create a water saver- Learners will bring empty plastic bottles or margarine containers, emprty tins etc, decorate them in class using stickers, paint etc and place them where water taps are, water pipes are etc. when containers are full they can use the water to water the school garden and vegetable garden.
Concept: Planet Earth- Planet earth is our home and only planet with life(inhabitants). Our planet is special because it is an ocean planet, the water covers 70% of the earths survice(Spaceplanet,2026)
Subtopic 2- The Moon
Concept: What is the moon? The moon is a big, rocky ball that travels around the earth and only shines because of the sun. The moon is not a planet and also not a star. the moon is a orbit around the earth(Planetkids,2026)
Activity: Learners make Sun, Earth and moon systems using yellow paper, white and green paper. They will cut out round shapes representing Earth,Sun and moon and also cut out strokes of paper connecting the 3 shapes together. they will then assembly the system with pin binders.
Social Science
Subtopic1-Stars
Concept-In the old days the stars were used to navigate people into a certain path, people developed calenders and timekeepers(Little Astronomy,2025)
Activity: Read Bible story of Jesus`s birth where the wise men followed Bethlehem Star to where Jesus was born.
Subtopic 2- The Sun
Content-It is Earth`s relationship to sun and the amount of light earth receives are the reason we on earth have seasons and biodiversity. The amount of sunlight a region/country receives, depends on the tilt of earth's axis(National Geographic,2026)
Activity: Teacher takes out map of planet earth or the Planet earth ball and let learners see on the map which countries have summer,winter, spring and Autumn.
