      - When in tissue they’re called mast cells.
        Located at end of capillary beds.
      - Allergic reactions & they have IgE antibody receptor complex that upon activation releases:
        
        Lysosomal substances: antibacterial & damaging to the region
        
        Heparin: anticoagulant
        
        Bradykinin & Serotonin: both recruit blood supply to an area
        
        Histamine: powerful vasodilator & anticoagulant
    - - Only 2% of all leukocytes (rarest)
      - Polynucleated granulocyte of myeloid lineage.Known for have acid-containing granules
      - Multicellular parasite specialists. Attach to invaders & release a cocktail of:
        
        hydrolytic enzymes & oxidizing agents
        
        Larvicidal polypeptide = major basic protein (MBP)
      - They also do allergic reactions
