Types of locks
Padlock mechanism
A simple locking system where a padlock secures a bar or chain around the steering wheel, preventing movement.
Ratchet lock
A locking system that tightens in one direction and can only be released using a key or release mechanism
Combination lock
Uses a numerical code instead of a key. The correct sequence must be entered to release the lock, removing the need for physical keys.
Electronic lock
Uses an electronic signal, keypad, or smart device (such as a phone app or fob) to lock and unlock the device, adding a higher-tech security option.
Keyed lock
Uses a traditional key to lock and unlock a cylinder mechanism. Common in many security devices and offers reliable protection.
