1955 :zap:: The first AI computer program, Logic Theorist, was written this year by Allen Newell (researcher), Herbert Simon (economist), and Cliff Shaw (programmer), which ultimately proved 38 of the first 52 theorems in Whitehead and Russell's Principia Mathematica.
A proposal was generated by John McCarthy, an American computer scientist, and his team for holding an “artificial intelligence” workshop.
