        With COPD lungs the damaged alveoli reduces diffusion and eventually hypoxia occurs

        (Hyper capnia) aka end stage
        
        Digital clubbing in late stages
        
        Peripheral edema and JVD are also late signs
        
        JVD is caused by cor pulmonale
