Mao’s revolution had an impact on global politics from the 1950s through the 1970s
the Chinese provided military, advisory, and financial support to Communist leaders in Korea and Vietnam. Farther away, Mao took a particular interest in Communist expansion in Latin American countries such as Cuba, Peru, and Bolivia.

The Cultural Revolution
After the failure of the Great Leap Forward and the split with the Soviet Union, Mao reduced his role in government.
Other leaders moved away from Mao’s strict socialist ideas. For example, farm families could live in their own homes and could sell crops they grew on small private plots. Factory workers could compete for wage increases and promotions.
Mao thought China’s new economic policies weakened the Communist goal of social equality. He was determined to revive the revolution.
In 1966, he urged China’s young people to “learn revolution by making revolution.” Millions of high school and college students responded. They left their classrooms and formed militia units called Red Guards.

why did the usa and soviot split up after the war?
the sovoits were communist while the amricans had a darmacrcy. the soviots did not like the us because of it and refused any of our help after wwii. they were then jelous about the usa being more prosperous and started making it a compition with the usa.
stalin said "communisam and demacercy can not coexist".
the soviots tried to get as many countries to their side and the usa did the same. this eventully lanched the cold war
