In the South, the warm seasons and fertile soils meant that there are more farms and fields

The Northern factories would hire immigrants, but paid them low wages. Sometimes, they were harmful to their workers health by making them work in low lighting, loud noises, and use dangerous machines
The Southern states forced Black enslaved people to work, making them property of others. Black people didn't have freedom and were discriminated.
Sectionalism
The Northerners worried about how the states were gaining more power since most of the Presidents were from Virginia
The geological difference between the North and the South is that the North had more factories and cities, while the South was more open with farms and slaves.
The Southerners thought that the Northerners only cared about their industries and believed they wanted to hurt the South with more tariffs
New states caused regional division because they were starting to become more loyal to their side of the country due to political and economic reasons.
Sectionalism is only supporting one side rather than including everyone, causing a group to divide
